Start of the year and we're drinking beer Stinking hot day ain't strange down here It's summertime in the sunburnt land There's nothing like kicking back and having a can Or watching the cricket with me mates Or barbecuing snags on the greasy hot plates Watch out for the mozzies coz it's getting late Did someone pack the Aeroguard for gods sake This is summertime in Australia This is summertime in Australia Heading to the beach to cool down Or just to throw the frisbee around Music festivals every week Daylight saving means the sun don't sink and listening to the top 100 on Australia Day It's our day done the Aussie way Just hanging out with all my friends It's days like these I wish would never end This is summertime in Australia This is summertime in Australia Middle of the year and the footy's here Another good reason to drink more beer The rain is falling and the wind is blowing Someone better have the fire going and head up to the mountains and hit the slopes The snow is where it's at when it's below zero Breathing in the cool fresh air Just living my life without a care Oh this is winter Winter in Australia This is winter in Australia Coz I'm so lucky to live in the land Surrounded by all this water and sand I'm a proud Aussie and this is how I'll show it So please help me sing this song if you know it It goes Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi Aussie Oi Aussie Oi Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi This is life in Australia This is life in Australia This is life in Australia This is life in Australia

A chapter has reached its end but there lies a new one to be discovered and as we say goodbye to a friend we say hello to another Like the girl who finally found her lover oh we cared Like the girl who couldn't tell her father oh we were so scared But there lies a new one to be discovered But you can't judge a book by it's cover Now there will be no more trips to the station Sun is rising and we're stuck in an endless conversation Oh there will be no more fun and games Well at least not like the good old days But who knows what lies in store for us all it could be so grand But there lies a new one to be discovered But you can't judge a book by it's cover

Good Time 05:24
I'm driving down this winding road Got to make it on time for the show And my only companion is the radio Thoughts in my head yes I'm all alone Playing music Is my passion Coz it makes people smile Just want to entertain you Not play you for a fool Doing things that other people think are cool I'm not here to preach Just want to help you have a good time yeah whooo Clap along sing a song stomp your feet Can you feel the beat I don't get high and mighty underneath stage lights And tell you what you should do or give you my advice Freedom to speak the mind is everybody's right So I express with my music and don't talk all night You don't need no one To tell you what to do You all have minds of your own I'm not here to whinge I'm not here to moan Just because I have a microphone I'm not here to preach Just want to help you have a good time yeah whooo Clap along sing a song stomp your feet Can you feel the beat Just want to have some fun Not tell no one to dislike someone Because of what they did or done No that's not my idea of a good time I'm not here to preach Just want to help you have a good time yeah whooo Clap along sing a song stomp your feet Can you feel the beat

I look up into the sky that's where I find my peace of mind I can see a new sun is rising and I know there is some hope on the horizon And I know you've been through a hard time Don't let it get you down down down down Coz we are better when you are around You're not the only one that doesn't understand understand Why why Why are they so unkind to me Why why Can't they be like the beautiful stars in the Sky sky Are they just holes in the curtain of life The curtain of life And each time that we stumble is represented by another hole And all those stars form a galaxy and it makes a stronger human being All the times that you've been knocked down Gotta get up off the ground ground ground ground Coz all the mistreatment that has happened to you all the wrongs and the rights and mistakes It's not long til you earn your break and you say Why why Why are they so unkind to me Why why Can't they be like the trees that float in the breeze How can they Break heart like waves in the sea It's all crashing on me and you say Why why Why are they so unkind to me Why why Can't they be like the beautiful stars in the Sky sky Are they just holes in the curtain of life The curtain of life

Late night watching the tube Sit here and think of you yeah Because I've got nothing else to do yeah I've got the blues got the blues I've got the blues Oh and I've got nothing else to do yeah Playing this old guitar hey it's out of tune But it don't matter when I'm playing in my room Because it don't matter no Oh it don't matter when I'm playing for you So tell me do you mind? If I play you a little song of mine? It may be a little rough around the edges yeah That's because I was loosing my mind Trying to write down how I felt at the time yeah I had the blues had the blues I had the blues Oh and I've got nothing else to do yeah and now I'm Singing the blues Singing the blues for you yeah Singing them for you They help to ease my mind They help to ease my mind

All he ever wanted to be is loved So why's he got to make it so tough When the girl of his dreams walks into his life Why's he got to go and make all this strife He's only fighting himself He's only fighting himself So instead of pushing her away Tell her that you love her more everyday So they sit under the shade of this tree Laugh and joke and play they are so happy Everybody else around you can see That you two oh yeah you're just meant to be He's only fighting himself He's only fighting himself So instead of pushing her away Tell her that you love her more everyday Their love was true and straight from the heart Nothing could ever tear them apart But love sometimes it ceases And leaves your heart on the floor in bits and pieces He's only fighting himself He's only fighting himself So instead of pushing her away Tell her that you love her more everyday He's only fighting himself He's only fighting himself So instead of pushing her away Tell her that you love her in every way

You're from a different time and a different frame of mind Money is what your seek With your collar down and your tie around and shoes on your feet Oh that's not me I am living free On a musical journey Destination unknown When you on the road Just this guitar and me Guitar and me What makes me happy are good times that I share With my friends and family And playing music to people everywhere I go To strangers and people I know So before you come around and drag me to the ground The ground on which you stand Just have a look at the smile that's on my face That's why I'm so happy Every single day I'm enjoying The best birthday gift that I have received That is the gift of my life my life my life I'm so lucky because I can play my song It goes whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa So I'm enjoying the journey It's not the destination that matters to me Just as long as I enjoy the journey What makes me happy are good times that I share With my friends and family And playing music to people everywhere I go To strangers and people I know So before you come around and drag me to the ground The ground on which you stand Just have a look at the smile that's on my face These are the things that make me so happy

Take A Look 05:34
I don't want to see you cry Oh every time You try to push it onto me Because you make it so easy To blame someone else Take a look at yourself Situation not the way it should be And you are left feeling unhappy Point the finger at yourself and not at me Because you make you make your own destiny And it's so easy To blame someone else Take a look at yourself Someone else Take a look at yourself Sometimes it's easier to look elsewhere for someone who might care Take a look inside yourself you'll find the answer there

about

Reworked was recorded live on a freezing cold May weekend in the hilly outskirts of Melbourne. It is a compilation of songs from Rhys' previous solo recordings, reworked into Rhys Crimmin & the Toms style. Reworked was intended to catch a moment in time! Some of the songs we were working out right up until the record button was pressed! That is the magic of live recording! Tom Collins, having only played 8 gigs with us before this album, was being shown some songs on the day of recording! Meg's fiddle solos, as is always the way, were spontaneous, they may never be repeated again! Johnsy was as tight as ever on the drums, although he always wishes he could have his time again. Rhys was making up structure and parts on the fly, and always wanting just one more listen. It is what it is... we hope you enjoy!

Single "The Aussie Song" was studio recorded and produced in March 2012
